I suppose you are not associated with electronics manufacturing. There has indeed been a shortage of micro-controllers. I have redesigned four products in order to use devices that were anticipated to become available. Only now can I purchase the devices for the new designs. Those for the old designs are still slated for delivery around December of 2024. A great many of the smaller scale CPUs seem to have gone extinct.

Correct, I just don’t seem to having a problem buying virtually anything other than a car. If there are other upstream problems, it seems to me that they’re not very visible at the consumer level.
