TO ALL:

No one here is an apologist for this behavior. But, not everything is about race.
The issue here is that he’s a special ed student. IOW, this case is about intellectual disability.

How about these stories?

This 8th grader brutally attacked his teacher in September:
https://sanangelolive.com/news/crime/2022-09-09/watch-student-brutally-assaults-teacher-ector-county-isd-middle-school

Would you all assume that case is about race? To me, it seems to be about a violent student.
Ever heard that story? I didn’t. Someone shared it on Twitter.

And this story happened in 2021: https://twitter.com/SmashDaTopic/status/1461830462314369028

I don’t remember seeing that one before, either. Here’s the news story:
https://nypost.com/2021/11/22/texas-student-hits-teacher-makes-racially-charged-comments/

Usually, we see stories of special needs students being attacked. We rarely see stories of them attacking others.
But, some do become aggressive. It’s a common situation.

In 2021, THIS WOMAN was attacked by a large 17yo special ed student, and SHE DIED:

She was black. Ever heard that story? Here’s more info:
https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/local/lawsuit-filed-against-dallas-isd-for-negligence-in-teachers-death/287-24363247-1840-4ff4-914b-b047620d4d68

Was that story about race? Or was it about the risks that paraprofessionals face while working in special ed programs?
That’s a rhetorical question. It’s about special ed programs.

Black Males between the ages of 13-35 make up around 2% of the population but are responsible for over 50% of the violent crime.

I’ve responded to incidents at our local schools involving “special needs” students. The only thing “special needs” about most of these kids, is they can’t function in a normal classroom setting without acting out. So they give them an IEP and stick them in a “special” class where they terrorize the children who actually are disabled and have legitimate “special needs”.

The longer society refuses to call out the behavior of these ferals, the longer this will occur.
