I put a new factory engine in my Truck. $5K installed. Good for another 200K.
No worn-out tranny, u-joints, springs, suspension parts, differential, master cylinder, brake cylinders, body rust, frame rust, etc?
Anyone in the Austin, TX area need a brand new set of regular Monroe shocks (not for lifted) 1995-2000 Toyota Tacoma? Mine is factory listed, so couldn’t use them. PM me with a phone number. Very reasonable.
My dad passed away in January. He bought a new Chevy Silverado 2014 when he was in his early 90’s. It was very lightly used - currently has 19k miles on it. It lives in the garage so it’s like new. Extended cab, short bed, not 4-wheel drive or it would be “the perfect truck” as multiple young guys have told us. We’re going to be selling it - should be an interesting experience.
That’s the way to go. With the cost of new pu trucks so high, it’s more feasible to replace major items. I don’t know where you got a so called factory engine for $5k, but it sounds do good to be true.
I was fir ur in a rebuild would run $6k, new tranny and differential with driveshaft, shocks, and brakes would be around $14k. Buy a used truck for $15k and you should be good for 300k miles.
