Well, yeah, we’re talking about the same place. Pulled a trailer east bound on 80 where 80 and 90 merge. I know it’s south of downtown. Another run I cruised the lake shore up to the naval base. Then another run went thru the middle to get on 90 west bound. Just didn’t like the place. It’s been some years but I remember that east bound 80 part was one of the grungiest roads anywhere. Maybe they’ve cleaned it up?
The stretch from I-57 to the I-90 toll road is constantly under construction, usually 3 miles at a time and on both sides..
So, yeah, they’ve “cleaned it up”...for now.
