The mark on Brandon’s forehead is a bit of a difficulty for me
being a Catholic myself I recognize that they are ashes that
are traditionally given on Ash Wednesday
seeing a public official that is blatantly flouting
what is commonly understood to be Church teaching is
a mockery to my faith and deeply disturbing however
we are called to hope and pray that even the worst of sinners
think Saul, can be rescued and repent of the sins that
will eventually bar them from a heavenly reward.
