Gossip based on pseudo-science; speculating on health status and damaging one’s “office reputation” among peers.

Contact HR and let them know legal action is forthcoming if they do not address it.
If it doesn’t stop, follow through on the legal action.

This applies in a “global” manner.
Although I assume you are not said elephant, you can protect your fellow elephant in these actions.
