The Climate Crusaders Are Coming for Electric Cars Too
WSJ ^ | 12 Feb 2923 | Allysia Finley

A new report makes clear the ultimate goal: tiny, uncomfortable apartments and bicycles for all.

Progressives’ dirty little secret is that everyone will have to make do with much less—fewer cars, smaller houses and yards, and a significantly lower standard of living.

Governments, the report says, could reduce “financial subsidies for private vehicles,” such as on-street and free parking. They could also impose charges on pickup trucks and SUVs (including electric ones) and build more bike lanes. Urbanites who suspect the expansion of bike lanes in their cities is intended to force people to stop driving aren’t wrong.

The Inflation Reduction Act included billions of dollars to promote bicycling and so-called livable neighborhoods.

Soon Americans may not be able to afford to buy a car even with a government subsidy. Then they will have no choice but to use mass transit or dust off their old 10-speed bike.

They were never going to allow a full transition to electric vehicles. I saw that coming a mile away.

They will get us out of gasoline and diesel vehicles under the ruse of replacement by electric vehicles. Then, they will announce EV’s are not practical in large numbers and will outlaw their manufacture.

This will strand everyone in place and bicycles will be the only option.

“”The goal is to isolate us by limiting our travel within a few miles.””

Exactamundo.

In the Soviet Union they had internal passports (your papers). To use the train, bus, walk, bicycle outside your small county area, you needed ‘papers.’ Dirty big secret, they probably have never taught, is that they did not issue ‘papers’ to over 80% of the populace. If you were fortunate enough to have ‘papers’ any infraction could mean cancelation of your ‘papers.’

There was a time when I used my bicycle for work, school, shopping, etc. I was getting ready for bicycling down the coast of Kalifornia. I eventually reached 100 miles a day. I doubt the USSR would have let me bike that far, papers or no papers. Today, I use that magnificent invention, the S U V!

PS. Be careful with EV bicycles and scooters. Buildings in New York and other cities are banning them due to fires. I was considering purchasing one. Not any longer.

The Superbowl GM commercial driving an EV truck through the zombie apocalypse! I couldn’t help thinking of the recent video of the African cobalt mine with literally thousands of people digging through the ground with their bare hands for your EV battery!

Yeah, try all that BS with your average Texas Redneck driving their Ford F-350.

They will squash them like the bugs they’ve been eating.

Just because the pink hair progs echo the wackjobs crack pipe dreams does NOT mean anyone is going to pay attention to them.

They will be dealt with in most creative manors, such as being superglued to the back of a semi headed to California.

“When they should all be ignored and run out of town, if need be. Just like all the tranny, LGBTQI, BIPOC, etc folks.”

Couldn’t agree more.

I keep waiting for us normals to finally organize, rise up and drive this trash out.

I wonder how much more it will take.

The low spark of high heeled idiot libs. Their “plant based” diets will not give them enough energy to ride their bicycles around town. If you don’t know, the global warming crowd are now anti-meat nuts and quasi-vegan fanatics.

Beyond meat burgers are higher priced than grass fed beef at Aldis......... Beyond Meat Plant-Based Patties
$3.99 for 8oz
