Yeah, at first I wasn't sure but that was the right call on that play. The more controversial play was defensive holding on nearly the last play of the game against the Eagles, even the defensive back said he had his hands on the receiver, but didn't think it would be called. It changed the outcome of the game.

That's the sort of call it would be nice to see the Ref's have more respect and caution with. Everyone else is rooting for one team or the other, no one wants the Ref's to decide who wins.

I watched the play again today, with my live recording of the game. There was NO “holding”. The DB did have his “hands on” the receiver, at first... but, this was literally ON the line of scrimmage. That’s not illegal. He was completely “hands off” well before the 5 yard limit.

I’m sorry... there’s just NO WAY that call should have been made. Mahomes had given up, and thrown the ball away. Smart play. But, they SHOULD have played out the game. If they had, it might have been one of the BEST Super Bowl games ever. Now, it will be forever known as... a “Ref decided” game.
