I truly understand the pain of seeing family members suffer or losing a loved one.
But I find it very hard to be very concerned about a Moslem nation having a disaster, since they are the cause of so many deaths, rapes, slavery, and suffering purely due to religion.
Fatalities > 12,000 now, according to multiple sources.

What I don’t know is the nature of the soils & bedrock. In the USA, the region around the New Madrid Fault is particularly problematic, leading to wickedly efficient propagation of the ground waves over a VERY large area, and drastic soil liquefaction. Some of the accounts from the 1811-12 quake series refer to 10 ft. high ground waves. Even if “10 ft.” is exaggerated, show me a large building that can withstand that...
