I'm doing a lot better now. The healing is almost complete. New tissue has filled in the pressure sore and a layer of skin has covered over it. They've also removed the catheter I've been using the last several months, and I'm feeling a lot better.
It's still painful to sit in my chair, but I'm trying to spend more time in it as each day goes by. In fact, with the recent warm weather, Chris got the RV out of storage and we went camping for a couple of days. Woo hoo!! First camping trip in over 3 years! We enjoyed it very much, but Chris was exhausted by the time we got home and unloaded. I spent about 12 hours in my chair on the last day of our trip, which was too much. My butt and my back were both pretty sore by the time I got home and in bed.
I'm still spending most of my time in bed. When I am in my chair, my hands and arms are still too weak to use the keyboard, so I'm still using the speech recognition software. Chris is typing this in for me.
All in all though, the recovery is continuing. I'm hoping it won't take too much longer until, God willing, I'm back on my feet again.
The nursing supervisor came in today and has discharged me. So we're now on our own. Prayers up.
Here are a few pics from our camping trip to Casa de Fruta (about 2 hours from our house):
