The European powers took over all of Africa except for Liberia and Ethiopia. They might have been able to carve out a piece for themselves if they had started in 1865...maybe.
The boxer named m Ali went over to Black Africa and said, ‘I’m glad my grandfather got on the boat.’ One idea to consider is that most of Black Africa is Moslem. Islam does not in reality generate prosperity. They can steal others’ wealth. They just do not generate honest wealth.

So Liberia might have gotten the critical mass of talent needed to succeed long term and become a decisive force in Africa?
Well, I’m in real estate so I talk to people all the time, about relocating. Seems to be a very, very difficult thing for most people to think seriously about, never mind do it.
Maybe an inert body tends to remain at rest.
Or the devil you know is preferable to the devil you don’t.
People resist change, and moving is a BIG change.
They usually can’t even imagine changing jobs.

I do understand not returning to the ancestral lands, though. My forebears went to some trouble to get away from the czar, the kaiser, the mafia, the king, the revolutionaries, the bloomin’ sheriff of Nottingham perhaps. Nobody liked them!
At my company they have a social messaging platform. They put up a image celebrating Black History Month with 3 raised fists colored brown, yellow and red. We have several thousands of employees all around the world. 26 people responded with emoticons of various design. 5 of those 26 had responded multiple times with different emoticons.
It’s not even a popular day with black people as we have a good amount of all races employed and are all-in on ESG, DEI and ERG’s. It’s perverse as management openly states it’s because we are competing with big tech companies like Google, SpaceX, Amazon, etc, to win government contracts.

There is no point in American history where large groups of U.S. Citizens moved to an ancestral homeland, especially when their ancestors had been in America for ten generations.
Blacks were the majority population in several southern states.
If Lincoln had given rifles to a few million freed slaves they wouldn’t have used them in Africa. They would have taken absolute control of much of the south forcing whites to flee north and west as refugees.
Why go through all that when you can complain about whitey and get stuff for free?

Nothing on this list was not already in Africa long before the first slaves were taken.
