I choose to share this video because it is the first I’ve seen that shows a complete Ukrainian unit made up of all American soldiers in combat. I can’t help but feel ironic that we have our brave young men dying to protect their border while ours let in 2-3 million illegals last year.
I wonder about the soldiers. Are they true civilian volunteers or active military allowed to resign and go to Ukraine? How many are there? How many of our young men have already died?
And finally it’s hard to read the captions as Tribun Timur always seems to paste their logo right over the transcripts box.

I was told by some people I know that Western militaries have programs that allow for ‘temporary retirement’ of servicemen to engage in active situations, so as to give the US Government deniability...so yes, you’re instinct is correct.
Yes, early in the war there were several volunteers from other countries, including the U.S., who flew into Poland and walked across the border into Ukraine to volunteer.

I believe offering to negotiate and then opening fire is the Ukrainian’s strategy to tamp down Russian willingness to negotiate. Russia has been willing to negotiate throughout this conflict and the Ukrainians aren’t, and it provides bad optics exposing their desire for war.
Zelensky is just a puppet for NATO and they want regime change in Russia, they’ve said so. Negotiating with the Ukraine won’t get them what they’ve been fighting for, regime change.
So violating offers of negotiations is likely intended (aside from the obvious) to make Russians less willing to negotiate on the battlefield or in the international community. The Minsk II agreements were violated and Merkel said they were only made to buy time to build up the Ukraine for the fight with Russia.
