After Lula talks about “coup”, deputy will ask for impeachment of President for doubting democratic institutions
Deputy Ubiratan Sanderson (PL-RS) will present a request for the impeachment of Lula (PT, photo) after he classified as a “coup” the deposition of former President Dilma Rousseff, in 2016.
For the parliamentarian, Lula commits a crime of responsibility by classifying a process of loss of mandate authorized by the House and Senate as a coup d’état.
“Any citizen of the people or even parliamentarians can even speak of a’ coup’ in the case of the impeachment process of Dilma Rousseff, in a tone of criticism of the process in general, because they are not on the list of people liable to commit a crime of responsibility, but the president of the Republic, invested in office, in public and official discourse, cannot, under penalty of committing a crime of responsibility and being prevented from his mandate,” said the deputy.
