Siddhartha Muckeejee reported in his book ‘The Gene’ that the research on certain ‘samples’ (families) may have found a trait that was connected with maternal relatives. That is if a woman had a gay brother that characteristic was often passed on to her sons (particularly twins.) it was not a major aspect of the work, but along the way to Gene mapping a possible link was noticed and studied some.

When was that? I know a while ago researchers could find nothing genetic.
What about genes for adultery, theft, and other vices...?
