Counter electronic warfare can damage their collection equipment or prevent it from transmitting back to China or to a satillite in earth orbit. (I think this is what they are doing here, sending it back through their satellites. ) Hopefully they are beaming high energy RF at both of them and overloading their electronics. (Although they probably are using protected equiptment.)
I think we should NOT xhoot it down. Our newly established space force should go up with a manuverable high altitude military dirigible (i assume we have one) to snag the mast on their antenna array, tether it and drag it down in a controlled way for disassmbly and examination. (Then we can start working on removing all theCCP TickTok info collection devices on our phones!) Hopefully it does not contain an EMP or Dirty nulear wepond.
