In this one, his portrayal of silk drapery is as good as with Albrecht Durer. With some fine artists, figure painting is not necessarily their strong suit. They may excell more effectively with showing textures of cloth, wood, wheat or water.

The young lady’s face here looks curiously matte or flat, while her garments gleam and glimmer from that overhanging right side light source. Maybe she wore (pancake) Make Up, perhaps it was the fashion for girls of wealthy families at that time.
