Colorado is experiencing negative population growth. You'll never guess where they're moving to and why.

You can't blame everything on population shifts.
Many leftists in Colorado, Idaho, the Deep South, etc. are native born with deep generational roots. But they watch TV. For generations, their families were reared by Donahue, Oprah, Ellen. By all the woke sitcoms and cop shows and soap operas. By CNN and Howard Stern and rap music. And they read the same New York Times bestsellers.
A state doesn't need Californians to turn blue. Just let your kids consume mainstream entertainment.
liberals are like cockroaches
It’s fairly easy to predict which place will go downhill next, simply watch movies and read news stories about the latest “cool” places to live.
It happened with California (started with surf boy movies), then Colorado (rocky mountain high, etc), then Seattle area (with tech), Arizona (retirement), Georgia (with Olympics).
What’s interesting is that Florida somehow was able to fight them off! And is now moving hard back in our direction. Florida was “cool” about the same time Arizona was focused on and for similar reasons (retirement)
I was born and raised in colorado. Was a great place then. Glad to be in Georgia now
I am starting to openly taunt mask Covidians.
And if you convert one person, job well done!
100% over the past decade. Massive growth of people coming from California and other states.
Now their crappy leadership is reflecting the migration patterns. They are 1-2 governors away from total political freefall. Right now they are getting somewhat reasonable left of center liberals. Once a true militant leftist slips in, which is inevitable, it will change rapidly and painfully to catch up with CA, WA, OR, NY level of policies.
They have pretty much turned New Mexico into California now. Liberals control everything there.
Just like they did in Austin.
Per the vid....people are moving out of Denver (urban) to more rural (conservative) areas....like CO Springs ... Douglas and Weld counties.
They are leaving the state, for “freedom” and heading to (per vid)....
TX, CA (?????), AZ and FL....with FL being #1 destination for the freedom chasers.
Please don’t CO our TX :-)
We saw an old hippie couple, w/CO plates, and, Karen driving their Subaru, like a Karen....in the Hill Country, yesterday, :- /
They infiltrate local government...they are doing it in East Tennessee...
I just hope those economic refugees don't Californicate the Hill Country. It's my favorite go-to spot, after the Lost Oak Winery in Burleson (15 miles south of Fort Worth).
I was best man at a wedding in Denver in 1985 and loved it. I rode the busses all over while I was there and felt completely safe. I was also in the area in 1978 when I was trying out for the Jr. Worlds Team at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. It was amazing then too and felt completely safe for even a young person traveling alone.
Washington State used to be a very safe and clean place as well. And as you said, “Then they legalized pot...” The places that we live and work in are unrecognizable compared to what they were before. It is now a mess. The roads are almost all strewn with garbage even in the outlying areas and of course traffic fatalities have gone way up. It is an unacknowledged side effect of legalizing marijuana.
because it has turned into a leftist third world country? what the liberals have done to my beautiful state is unforgivable
One tiny upside to the californication is that several northern counties are considering joining Wyoming. Hasn’t happened yet, though.
It was awesome in the 60’s.
you work for cBS or something? what are they???
Oh yes, true. I am living in Middle Tennessee now and they are moving here. They are like cockroaches, where you find one you know there are many others.
Yes, people are leaving Denver; and people are entering Denver. The math shows a net population gain for Denver.
I had a neighbor from India for a couple of years. Everything she learned about the U.S., she learned from watching Oprah.
I’m the opposite. Born and raised in Georgia, now living in Colorado. It’s not terrible (yet) here in northern Colorado.
