Smallpox is caused by the variola virus. Edward Jenner came up with a very effective vaccine in 1796 that has almost completely eliminated the disease.

There are loads of viruses that have been treated with vaccines. Those viruses are not coronavirus—which mutate too much to be contained by a single vaccine.

There had not been a successful, traditional, coronavirus vaccine that is “real” effective.

There are many types of viruses. Some are more easily contained than others.

If you’re talking about those who’ve merely questioned the safety of them...were smeared, nonstop, by the $hot $hills...and, who are now being proven right for doing so....more so each day...then, something is very off, with you.

No, there are others. Here's a few more:

1885 Pasteur developed the rabies vaccine, a viral disease.

In 1937 Max Theiler, Hugh Smith and Eugen Haagen develop the vaccine against yellow fever, a viral disease. The vaccine is approved in 1938 and over a million people have receive it that year. Theiler was awarded the Nobel Prize.

In 1971 the measles, a viral disease, vaccine (1963) is combined with recently developed vaccines against mumps, a viral disease (1967) and rubella, a viral disease (1969) into a single vaccination by Dr Maurice Hilleman.
