If they are demons, they are thinking that humans are as stupid as their boss says they are.
If they are aliens, they are probably watching TV instead of reading...probably something like the Twilight Zone. That said, given the talk about how alien abductions seem to have a sexual element (i.e., the collection of eggs or sperm), they might be watching Baywatch.
