One of several stories at the link:
So I am on my way home and have to stop at the store to pickup dinner for myself. The store I go to has employees that wear a blue polo and tan pants. My uniform is black pants and red polo with company name on it. And as I had just got off work I still have my name badge on and side arm in its holster on my hip.
Cue crazy lady. I’m browsing the freezer aisle and she stops me and starts to ask where product x is. She stops dead in her tracks as she sees my gun in it holster. Stops talking and fast walks out of the aisle. I just assume she realized I don’t work there and left to find someone who does.
I go about my business and proceed up to the cashier line. As I’m waiting to get up to check out in comes a swarm of about 8 police officers. They come straight to me with crazy lady behind shouting “that’s him, that’s the guy with the gun.” They point their guns at me and order my hands up. I drop what I have and comply. I state that I work for company z and that I have a permit for my weapon.
They lower and holster their guns after the commotion and apologize for the confusion but say they got a call about a guy walking around the store waving a gun around. I say I’m sorry, but since I have been here my gun has been holstered. Never left the holster.
They turn to the lady and ask if it’s true that I never took my gun out of the holster. She yells that I’m lying and that I can’t have a gun in the store anyway. They of course go and check the security footage and see that I did nothing wrong and let me go on about my business and apologize again for the misunderstanding.
They then turn around and handcuff the lady who called and told her she is being arrested for misusing the 911 system and inciting panic.
Happy ending
Karen wanted the guy killed by way of false red flag reporting.
Now that’s Social Justice.
ACANB
I am sure she was promptly released and no charges filed by the prosecutor.
SWATTING.
A nice story to start my day!
False statement to the police! Put her behind bars.
Yes, but now she is on the police radar. I've called 911 on my cell twice, and the dispatcher asks for your name and address before putting you through. Once to report a very erratic driver (and I got a call back with thanks) and another time there was a guy in the parking lot blocking in his estranged wife, getting out of his car and screaming at her standing outside. I was with my four-year old grandson and would have had to pass them to get to my car and did not want to risk him turning on me. I really think if that guy had a gun he would have shot her. (Sad story. Cambodian couple, the son was on the same little league team as my ten year old grandson, who were playing in an adjacent field. The woman was so embarrassed she and her son never came to another game.)
A guy I met had a situation like this.
He decided to argue with the lady and spent a year in jail.
Not sure of what exactly happened.
Beautiful story!
Can we assume that this didn’t happen in Texas?
Crazy karens need to suffer more for their stupidity.
a nice 2A story about a 19A moron ...
Any idea what state this was in?
The solution to one guy “waving a gun around” is eight guys waving guns around. I hope they gave her a serious lecture. Strip-search and 24 hours locked up would be better.
OP has the Maryland flag on his profile page. Could be PA, I suppose.
“They then turn around and handcuff the lady who called and told her she is being arrested for misusing the 911 system and inciting panic.”
A few years ago, someone called the police from a mall in the burbs of Boston, “RIFLE, he has a RIFLE...long and BLACK”...
Cue the Swat Team. Long story short, it was a long black
closed umbrella - the owner just carried it over his shoulder.
Karens are not a new thing.
Mr. R and I fled Massachusetts in July 2021. We see carried firearms all the time in Tennessee - no one blinks...a
properly holstered firearm is normal.
