It’s not hard to figure out. The original virus could cause serious lower respiratory disease and that made it deadly. It stopped circulating once the vaccines were released. The Omicron variants that continue to circulate are upper respiratory and not very threatening. You don’t hear of people getting hospitalized anymore.
The vaccines did what they were designed to do, despite the stupidity that gets spouted here non-stop. They defeated the original virus. But antibodies that the Warp Speed vaccines generate don’t recognize Omicron since it has a spike protein different from the original virus.The vaccines can’t defeat variants that didn’t exist when they were designed.

Also true, who knows how many people actually took the shot - I also believe a certain percentage got a placebo.
