This is truly scary.
I wonder, though, if so many people (eligible CA voters) see such a disconnect between what they voted for and what actually passed (due to rampant fraud) that they’ve developed a sense of apathy about the process and thus just let someone else claim and process their mail-in ballots.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what happened. They probably see no point in putting a lot of effort into voting, since stolen elections seem to be a way of life.
It will be interesting to see what things will look like in the near future. I recall that Pres. Trump said something not too long ago along the lines of it looking "totally different" than it does now or has in the past. This MUST happen; otherwise, voting in 2024 would just be futile and stupid.
Trump spoke with complete confidence about the next election looking "totally different". That implies big changes. If those big changes happen nationwide, I'd say it's a safe bet that CA voters will also have ample reason for renewed confidence.

From what I read here and there during the 2022 election period, people in CA were doing their best to vote; didn’t get the impression that many people had given up. Same in OR, and our elections are stolen here too.
This doesn’t help, nor does it give much hope.
