In Grovetown, Goergia, the government ignored repeated complaints that a man was deliberate allowing his dangerous dogs to roam free and chase people. Eventually, the dogs attacked a child in a very, very violent way. I think the dogs' owner should be executed. And I think the government employees who ignored the previous complaints should each get one year in prison.

This almost never happens with golden retrievers.

The stoopid people who let their dogs run free down here are numerous. They don’t care

They’d be offended if you shot one of their dawgs

Overall they tend not to treat them very well. They are not treated like pets. Frequently these tons are involved in dog fighting

In the past a roaming aggressive dog problem was often handled by residents of the affected area with the help of Mr. Winchester and his friend Mr Twelve Gage.

#1: "… should be executed. And I think the government employees who ignored the previous complaints should each get one year in prison."

Amen to all that.

Prayers for the kid. Horrible.

Toss the owner in jail for a few years, sue for emotional damages, medical bills, kill the dogs.

Here’s more info about how the government knowingly allowed these dangerous dogs to continue to roam free even after getting a large number of complaints from many different people. The government gave the dogs’ owner multiple warnings, including a “final” warning. But even then, even after getting additional complaints, the government never actually did anything to get these dangerous dogs off the streets. The guy took joy in the fact that his dogs were chasing people. And they had already attacked someone else’s dog. But the government still refused to do anything to get these dangerous dogs off the street.

A look at past reports against dogs in Grovetown attack

January 11, 2023

GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - We’re learning more about the dogs involved in a violent attack on an 11-year-old boy Friday.

Records with animal services show Justin Gilstrap’s aunt, Kellie Aguilar, filed complaints about the same group of dogs about a year ago. In early 2022, reports show the dogs attacked her small Yorkie.

A couple of weeks later, she filed another complaint about the same dogs running loose in the neighborhood. Now, Gilstrap is in the hospital after being attacked.

On Jan 12, Columbia County gave the dog’s owner, Burt Baker, a final warning saying from that point forward, the dogs must be contained to the property, but more complaints followed, and nothing changed.“

The dogs were constantly out,” said Aguilar.

She didn’t feel safe showing her face on camera, but she says this attack could have been prevented.

“It was two pit bulls who came into my backyard while my Yorkie was out there and attacked him. I heard it going on. I went out there. They attacked him,” she said.

She filed a police report after the attack in her fenced-in back yard Jan. 2. Animal services said there was not “an immediate threat” and came out the next day.

They say they had trouble getting in touch with either party and closed the case. On Jan. 12, the dogs were back on her property when she called animal services again. Columbia County issued a final warning, and Baker signed it.

“The dogs, I don’t think were ever locked up from the entire situation. They’ve always ran loose,” said Aguilar.

In July, two other neighbors filed complaints about the dogs at the same address being on the loose. Six months later, with the dogs still roaming, Aguilar got the call about her nephew.

“It was absolutely devastating,” she said.

She knows from what she’s seen and reported, what happened to Gilstrap should have never happened.

“It was preventable. My nephew was riding the bike that he got for Christmas. As he should be able to as an 11-year-old boy and did not make it back home that day. He’s lying in the hospital now because these dogs were able to run loose,” she said.

I think the dogs' owner should be executed.

At a minimum anyone who wants to own a dangerous dog should be required to have a 4 million dollar bond should the dog attack someone.

For those who just know they left this out of the headline but have more important thing things to do:

“…one pit bull started barking at him and then grabbed his leg. A second pit bull then came up and grabbed him

Uh oh, cue up all the pit bull defending idiots here.

Execution might be a bit much, but a public flogging until as much skin is hanging off of him as that little boy would be in order, followed by burning down his house and running him out of town on a rail.

Scumbags who allow their vicious animals to run free attacking people deserve to be shot in the face.

Pit bulls are like an AK-47 with a mad man behind the trigger.
The Dog must be put down and the owner should face the same charges as if he personally attacked this child.

https://theaugustapress.com/columbia-county-addresses-previous-reports-in-aftermath-of-dog-attack/ Burt Baker III, left, was charged with reckless conduct after his pit bulls allegedly attacked 11-year-old Justin Stevens on Friday night. The child is shown at right in images posted by his mother. Baker is shown in a 2021 mugshot and 2020 Facebook photo with one of his pit bulls.

When I read the headline, my first thought was Cocker Spaniels. (Do I really need a sarcasm tag here?)

You are welcome to have any dog of your choosing.

You will be personally responsible for your dog's actions in inflicting injury to others, as if you hade performed the injury yourself.

I was attacked by a pitbull last spring. Animal went right for my throat... tore up my right arm. It was the most terrifying thing that has ever happened to me. I despise those creatures.

I love dogs, however pit bull dogs should be exterminated from the earth, they’re absolutely horrible animals.

From the piece (emphasis added)...he was riding his bike when one pit bull started barking at him and then grabbed his leg. A second pit bull then came up and grabbed him on his bottom. That’s when he fell off the bike and a third pit bull then came up and dragged him into a ditch.

I've seen a pit bull attacking an innocent Yorkie, it was not pretty.

The perp might not want me on his jury.
