Donald Trump: America’s clear choice in 2024
The Washington Times ^ | Jan 9 | By Rep. Troy E. Nehls

Posted on 01/09/2023 4:09:00 PM PST by RandFan

OPINION:

Since former President Donald Trump boldly announced his campaign for the next presidential election in 2024 just two months ago at Mar-a-Lago, the media and the establishment haven’t known exactly what to do.

There have been the usual smears and phony “scandals,” there have been predictable attempts by the Republican establishment to blame the GOP’s midterm disappointments on Mr. Trump, and there has been plenty of wishful thinking in the media on how he can’t win again.

This is all nonsense. Mr. Trump has the strongest record of anyone running for president in 2024, the best chance of any Republican in the general election, and a serious and impressive agenda for his second term on America First policies.

Mr. Trump has a solid record of delivering on his promises. During his presidency, the economy boomed, the stock market soared, and unemployment fell to a 50-year low. Mr. Trump kept us out of foreign wars and fought every day to build the wall and enforce our immigration law. He also reshaped the judiciary and named three Supreme Court justices who handed power back to the states and the people, all while fighting the fake news attacks and hoax investigations every step of the way. He is, without a doubt, the most effective conservative leader in a generation.

President Biden’s administration is working hard and fast to undo all the good that Mr. Trump accomplished. The stock market closed out with the worst year since the Great Recession of 2008. The border is wide open, inflation is crushing Americans, and the United States is once again sending billions overseas while our veterans are forgotten and left behind. Sixty-three percent of Americans think this country is on the wrong track, and so do I.

I observe, on this thread, a great number of personal insults offered in place of logical debate or discussion. I further observe that they all come from Trump supporters.

And who is it that wants other members of the forum to be “zotted”? A Trump supporter.

Fascinating ...

I am saying a) both are old going in, and b) it’s hypocrisy to complain Biden is old but not Trump.

It is not a slight against old people.

I know plenty who did well at advanced age.

But we all know plenty who suddenly went downhill, including dying.

It’s right for us to be practical. For yourself, and also for big political office.

“Cardboard cutout” - “salute”

Yup. That’s scary. Get a hold of yourself.

Generally, dementia can be argued to be age related. However, dementia can set in at a much earlier age.

Others live into their 90's and die from illness while still sharp as a tack mentally.

maybe some are complaining about biden's state of mind, and not his age per se?

Obama are is nowhere near dead.

I look on the insurance “market”, and the “cheapest” insurance premium is >$650 with several thousand $$$ deductible. Prior to Obamacare i could buy great health insurance for only $250/month.

and you think Trump will be successful in taking on the deep state? He is no match. He’s a horrible hiring manager. Think Scaramooch, Barr, Bolton, and the rest of the clowns that came and went.

You wouldn’t have to worry about Trump 2024 if the election of 2020 wasn’t stolen..

Trump isn’t going to forget that robbery..
MAGA won’t either.
Any R that runs against MAGA has an uphill battle in 2024..

They can blame the installation of Biden for their tough luck..

Yeah, it’s me “Mitch” and I thank Trump every single day for his endorsement that got me re-elected. Mitt sends his regards too 🤭

Thanks brother, I know. Before President Trump ended Obamacare, my premiums were similar. I know there has been the Biden inflation, maybe that explains it.

Definitely, but many just carped that he was too old.

Again, as a rule, age is a big risk by 80. I’m not just talking dementia. We’re talking any illness, and death.

Life is a risk. 165K + die daily around the world. Certainly age is a risk factor, but it is not a universally applied direct correlation.

Those that like Trump say he is very clear minded at his age, and is just what this country needs at present.

Those who oppose mention his age and use biden as an example.

Going to be this way until after the primaries, and even then, likely into November 24.

And McConnell, Ryan, Boehner, Hastert, Romney, who came and went...right to the bank!!
This is fun.
We could play this all day.
Your turn.

Re: 6 - for the questionable and in some cases bad hiring decisions made by President Trump during his first term, those are hopefully the sorts of questions that are asked of him during the Republican Primaries for ‘24.

I believe his daughter and son-in-law did him no favors in that area. But ultimately the buck stops with President Trump.

Or maybe you’ll get lucky and Antikristi Noem will follow through. I kinda have you slotted as a Tranny Noem supporter.

My tagline will tell you exactly who I am supporting, it's been there unchanged for about a year, and I'm confident DeSantis will announce after Florida's legislative session wraps in in May.

“Like him or not Trump HAS to be the next President “

No GOP ever will win another POTUS election. RATs have fine-tuned their cheating to an art. As of 2020, elections are just theater.

I don’t think his personnel failures will be any better; he hasn’t learned from the mistakes he made while in office.

Oz. Hershel Walker. Kevin McCarthy. Spectacularly terrible candidates. He seems to go with the most attractive and/or famous person. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn’t.
