MTG sold out to the swamp and became a full-fledged member.

And they won’t have any power even with a Speaker, the Rats will still get what they want.

Honestly, what real damage would be done if no business is done in the House for the next two years? Seriously. At least we won’t be spending trillions more on giveaways, or sending endless billions to Zelensky.

We will never get border control through the House no matter what. Biden has decided to let millions pour in unchecked for the foreseeable future. Even if we impeach Mayorkas and/or Biden, we’ll never get 67 votes in the Senate to remove.

The 20 patriots should hang tough and wait for either McCarthy to blink or enough Democrats to vote for him.

Correct. And we would also have no power with RINO McCarthy at the helm like McConnel.

Hate to break it to her. Republicants have no power and when they have, they have done nothing with it.

Marjorie Taylor Greene wants a committee assignment. Kevin McCarthy is her meal ticket. They obviously had a deal. If Kevin McCarthy is defeated, Marjorie Taylor Greene goes back to square one.

I like her but I don’t think a lot of her colleagues are pleased with her right now.

Simple. An acceptable candidate who is not named Kevin McCarthy needs to step up and remove the controversy. Those boxes of tea did not throw themselves into the Boston Harbor.

This Kevin McCarthy is an absolute waste of time..period!!! The GOP caucus is nothing but a bunch of but wipes. The GOP Congress should have came to Washington ready to do the people’s business, had already chosen and confirmed Leader McCarthy as House Speaker..period and then got right to work doing the people’s business.

I demand that whoever is chosen as the GOP House Speaker must keep Congress in active and working session for the next 72 hours without a break..let the bastard, useless, GOP Caucus make up the time they, themselves lost screwing around on something that should been solved months ago!!! Let the useless GOP Caucus survive eating peanuts as they make up the time they wasted away with their silly games. Congresssman, Brian Mast will never get my vote again. No profile of courage in his body!!! GOP dying at an active political party!!! Trump you screwed up too. no strong leadership from Trump and company, only GOP weaklings marching toward political slaughter!!!

The only way the GOP will survive is if they give McCarthy their 100& blessing and stay in session for next 72 hours doing the people’s work, which they should have been doing since day one!!! Once again...folks, IO hate to say this but the GOP house caucus sucks!!!

Actually, the people have the power to restrain Congress while this feud goes on.

Her GA District voters are pissed.

I hope they are and they are justified in being pissed. It’s beautiful up there. Great place to live. For all the talk about what a wonderful job the governor did during covid, some parts of the state didn’t pay much attention to any of it. That area of NW Georgia was one of them.

Yeah, I had initially fell for her impassioned argument from the other day, because I had great respect for her. I still have great respect for her, but she is wrong and needs to abandon her support for McCarthy, as does Trump/ Because she may think she is supporting Trump. But is Trump really supporting McCarthy or is he pretending to support McCarthy?

I think it's the latter. Maybe all of the GOPe will blame Trump for McCarthy not getting the Speaker position, by him supporting McCarthy.

Hey - you sound like the voice of a congressional staffer tied in to the worthless side of the GOP.

I don’t even think the theater would be against the Democrats.

I think he’d be talking a lot about bipartisanship and working together to help the people.

Which, as we know, means hurting the people.

enough Democrats to vote for him.

I’ve been saying that since November. If anyone thinks that Jefferies is more than a figurehead, they’re dreaming.

Pelosi will still run the place when she feels the need. Jefferies is more of a caretaker.

Damn good chance McCarthy makes a deal with Pelosi. She’ll “allow” Democrats from Purple areas/states/districts to vote for him in the interest of bipartisanship and to end the stalemate. If they do nothing, the Congressional Money Train stops rolling down the tracks.
