He breaks down the mechanics of the tackle in question including the impact and physics. Based on his analysis he does not see how a 24 year old man would have received an impact capable of cardiac arrest.

I just did read the entire article. I found it interesting, and largely agree with its conclusions. I also disagree with MOM MD as to the utility of the shots, suspecting that the data she is familiar with might well be suspect. However, I acknowledge that she is in the medical field, is more than able to exercise her own judgment, and has the additional advantage of personal in the field level experience.

Best to both of you.

Thank you for your comment.

Do you agree in your professional opinion that the impact is not likely to cause cardiac arrest?

That a 24 year old professional football player has a thicker breast plate. That this tackle is entirely different than the impact of a 120 hardball impacting the chest of a 16 year old boy.

I have suffered through medical professionals who were unable to acknowledge that their action resulted in my suffering.

The current procedure based because we need ta get paid medical practice has me terrified of needing surgery of any kind.

Yes, y’all professional and have experience and that experience means you cannot see things that are new and look to be part of your understanding. Most best part is the smarter and better you are the more your unconscious will use existing pattern recognition heuristics because they are close enough. The conscious mind will not be aware that is happening and will harden around the decision being right.

Works really well until it does not.

with the start of the corona i thought it was not a black swan because as a species we have suffered through worse. What i did not anticipate was the global coordination of response, resulting in a much larger impact for bad decisions.

Author does not have bioengineering credentials, but yes, interesting analysis.
