“The View” co-host Joy Behar hit conservatives and heterosexual men on Wednesday for their support of tackle football.
“45% of Americans think that tackle football is appropriate. Heterosexual men voted the most support for kids doing football. And conservatives were more likely to support youth tackle football. Just saying,” Behar said with disdain.
The hosts were discussing Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin, who collapsed during a game Monday night and suffered cardiac arrest, and renewed calls for the NFL to make safety a top priority. Co-host Sunny Hostin told a story about her son, who suffered from a hamstring injury while playing football.

Imagine having several aunts and cousins exactly like Joy Behar.
That’s what family holiday gatherings are like for me.
I doubt if Behar knows any heterosexual men.
Does your family serve alcohol at gatherings?

I like tackle football (moreso if someone I know is playing, college and high school levels) and I am female. She is such clod.

So... she doesn’t like young men in rough and tumble competitive sport with other young men, and enjoying pushing their limits.
She wants a society of beta males. Quiet. Unassertive. No motivation to excel. Followers, not leaders.
What a sad sad society that would be. Fortunately I have 2x sons and 6x nephews who are rough and rowdy and happily cutting their own path in life, on their own terms. Pretty sure she’d hate them. That makes me smile.

With some google, out of 4.2 million participants there were 4 deaths caused by direct injury with all ages of football in 2021. There were another 13 from related injury (heat exhaustion, heart issues, etc.) You put your kid in greater danger transporting them in a car than putting them in tackle football.
I laugh every time I hear her name. She is the most joyless woman on the planet.
