My middle son played my Holton trumpet from elementary school to high school. My dad purchased it for me just prior to his last deployment to Vietnam. I had played the 1909 Holton cornet that was passed from my dad's uncle Charles. My dad played it from elementary school to college. I played that cornet from 4th grade until 7th grade.

My last semester in high school needed a "filler". I opted for the choir. Lots of fun. Lots of acapella competitions. My son also did some voice items including public duet performances. In recent years, most of my voice interests have been around Welsh folk music and hymns. It's a great way to get accustomed to reading/speaking/singing in the language.
