I have no idea what ingredients chocolate covered cherries have in them, but I love them! Give me a box and a glass of milk (whole milk!)...oh man.

I don’t particularly care for the ‘cherry’ part, but I love the chocolate part!...............

I haven’t had a chocolate covered cherry in ages.
I think I’ll try my hand at some today, just a few will be enough.
I have some beautiful Amarena cherries and some melting chocolate. I think I’ll drizzle the chocolate over a few of the cherries and pop one in once it hardens.

Try this:
Take cherries and chill them to just above freezing, then just pour over the shell syrup................

Back in my days as a paperboy in the late-60s to early 70s, I regularly received boxes of these confections as Christmas gifts from customers. I don’t think I care to consume another.

Me too. I’m not really into chocolates and sweets but I buy a few boxes of the cheap chocolate covered cherries every Christmas.

Take cherries and chill them to just above freezing, then just pour over the shell syrup................It's not the same. The syrup surrounding the cherry cordials starts out as a solid fondant, and melts inside the chocolate coating.

This is See’s “candy of the month.”
Fortunately, they sell it in small boxes. I think I’m going to have to hide this particular candy especially deep this month...Only a few liked last month’s selection “Eggnog Truffles.”
Heading over to See’s when they open at 10.

A favorite treat from Grandpa at Christmastime. During the rest of the year, he bought us off with Lemon Drops.
Miss you, Grandpa! :)

“I have no idea what ingredients chocolate covered cherries have in them...”
The filling is just cherry juice mixed with powdered sugar. They can be made from scratch - I’ve done it in the past.
But you’re right. The commercially made ones (’Queen Anne’, by us) are so, SO good! :)
