I didn’t know that. Scary.
I had to have Cotton put to sleep today. Just 4 days ago she put toothmarks in my arm because I dared to brush her.
She was ok one day, ate all her food at night like she always does. And the next day, wouldn’t eat and had raspy breathing. I had to call numerous vets and found one that would work her in. It was an upper respiratory infection, we got antibiotics and went home. She still didn’t eat at all and seemed weaker, so I brought her back in. They were going to hydrate her and syringe feed her. Several hours later the vet called and said she wasn’t reviving with the fluids and her gums were blue, she wasn’t getting enough oxygen. And any time they did anything to her, she struggled for air.
So she’ll be buried next to Roy. I couldn’t figure out what to put in her box with her since she never laid on blankets. She liked hard surfaces, even night stands vs being on the bed. Hubby said he could put a piece of tile in there. I put some of her training items from when she taught me to give her treats. I put her little pencil that she would fetch with, the bell she would ring, a pool ball that she would push around on the pool table.
