We have just had an earthquake. It was first reported to me as 5.2 mag., 22 miles away out in the ocean with a depth of over 6 miles. The whole community began chattering (on a private group here). My hubs felt it.
I DID NOT! And I really LOVE earthquakes (caveat: I don’t want people to get hurt or property damage. I just enjoy the shaking.)
Sadly, the city closest to this earthquake is Jayapura and there HAS been damage to buildings. It is too soon to know about people.
You are the first person I have ever known to enjoy earthquakes. Hopefully these smaller quakes are loosening the tension between the plates so there won’t be a big one.
