Looters Ransack Stores As Deadly Blizzard Buries Buffalo
Holly Matkin December 27, 2022 Buffalo, NY – Throngs of looters ransacked stores and destroyed businesses as they tore through the Buffalo area in the midst of a massive winter storm over the weekend (videos below).
“People who are out looting when people are losing their lives in this harsh winter storm are absolutely reprehensible,” Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said during a joint news conference with New York Governor Kathy Hochul and Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz on Monday afternoon, according to The Buffalo News.
“I don’t know how these people can even live with themselves, how they can look at themselves in the mirror,” Brown added. “They are the lowest of the low.”

Footage of ransacked stores and demolished businesses have been shared widely on social media.
“They’re not looting food and medicines – they’re just looting items that they want,” the mayor said, according to WGRZ. “These aren’t even people in distress. These are people that are taking advantage of a natural disaster.”
Officials have described the deadly blizzard as a “once in a generation” winter storm that brought much of the area to a grinding halt over the Christmas holiday weekend, WIVB reported.
In addition to impassible roads snarled with hundreds of abandoned vehicles, the blizzard knocked out power for a huge portion of residents, according to CNN.

More than 25 people in western New York lost their lives in the winter weather, Poloncarz said.
“We do expect there will be more,” he added.

Police have been going car-to-car and house-to-house, checking to make sure people aren’t in need of help, CNN reported.
“In some of these circumstances, some of these people might not have survived if it weren’t for the efforts of first responders to rescue them from vehicles,” Brown noted.

“I’m heartbroken about the deaths,” Poloncarz told The Buffalo News. “Just absolutely devastated to see that many deaths and then to find out that there’s looting going on in our community at the same time we’re still recovering bodies is just horrible.”
More than 43 inches of snow and ice fell on the Buffalo area over the weekend, accompanied by high winds and frigid temperatures, Newsweek reported.
Another foot of snow was forecasted to fall by mid-week.
Travel bans were implemented in some areas and crews were working to clear snow from various routes to make roads passable for first responders, WIVB reported.

Hochul warned that the National Guard would be stopping drivers who attempt to travel through areas where the travel bans were in effect and that violators would be cited.
Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia said police have been investigating the reports of looting at locations throughout the city and that they were still unsure how may businesses had been targeted as of Monday, according to WGRZ.
“We have made a few arrests,” Commissioner Gramaglia confirmed.
He said officers also helped to board up at least one store after looters busted out the windows and ransacked the building, WGRZ reported.

More than a dozen gas stations were rendered inoperable by looters, Erie County Homeland Security and Emergency Services Commissioner Daniel Neaverth told The Buffalo News.

“This is a drastic implication for us that we now have to deal with to find alternate fuel sources,” Neaverth explained. “So that ambulance that is maybe just going to go a block to refuel now has to go to a facility sometimes outside of the city of Buffalo to be refueled.”
Other looted businesses include Rick’s Sports Apparel near Elmwood Avenue and Allen Street, a Family Dollar on Genesee Street, the Broadway Market, and Rent to Own, among others, WGRZ reported.
“They” have BLM, and the accompanying set of made up useless alphabet BS. For the looters, we should have STK...shoot to.... Guaranteed positive results.
When the sung goes down the cockroaches come out of the woodwork. The difference is we are feeding the cockroaches to breed and multiply.
Shoot, shovel, shut up.
There is a desperate push to transform many blacks from multigenerational welfarians in gubmint housing to homeowners, but it fails because they realize that as property tax payers, they’d actually have to pay for their own services. Years ago Newark NJ was practically giving away property lots, and the usual suspects showed up in a massive line for the “free sh!t”. There was a stipulation that a home had to be built obn the land within five years, and within ONE year many of the lots had been given back - the recipients realized they’d go from Section 8 “takers” to taxpaying “makers”. A follow-up on the second anniversary simply noted even more properties had been returned and very few had been developed (so Newark still looks like Mogadishu).
The elites need to figure out a way to give them “skin in the game”, while most of them are working on getting more free sh!t.
If this country worked as the Founding Fathers intended, where non-taxpayers would also be non-voters, then there would be no issue; giving takers a say in how contributions from makers are spent is a disaster. There can be no other outcome than class warfare, accompanied by flight of wealth from the most covetous and idle.
These Dem tokens are elected in bankrupt dumps because white Corruptocrats don’t even want those jobs anymore; there is little left to loot, and the dangerous perpetually aggrieved are a tiresome lot. Mayor Adams in NYC is another example of this; these people aren’t elected in vibrant healthy cities, but in mere shadows of this country’s heyday.
There you go. If you do it , keep quiet. “Man, those are green trees in your yard.”
Yes. Life was better when it was legal to shoot looters. The real problem is that it is illegal to use deadly force to defend property. I would like to see this changed in a future crime bill.
“I don’t know how these people can even live with themselves, how they can look at themselves in the mirror,”
I know. The fact of that statement of not knowing, either means you are okay with it or you’re stupid. My sincere wish is that mayors and governors of your ilk will lose elections over these fididiots. Maybe even become preyed upon by these same anarchists and thugs.
In my day the order would have been, “Shoot to kill”. Same on the border.
“I don’t know how these people can even live with themselves, how they can look at themselves in the mirror,” Brown added. “They are the lowest of the low.”Good for you, Mr. Mayor. But a lot more and consistent condemnation of criminal behavior in the past would have helped avoid this activity. But, no, you had to go along w/ the victimization scam called BLM:
My inside source informs me that 100s of Amish are marauding and looting. They only stop when their buggies can hold no more loot. /S
“a Family Dollar on Genesee Street”
There were multiple videos on RUMBLE of this store with people going in and out of it. Some using carts to roll the stolen loot down the street through the snow.
There was a video on YouTube yesterday of the cops busting a couple “yutes” inside a store.
The real Ronald McDonald without her makeup. This bimbo obviously has some serious issues with what remains of her gray matter.
Not in TEXAS!
Really? What is the law in Texas to defend property?
Here in SC, deadly force can only be used in self defense. The perp better be armed or an overwhelming physical threat.
I wasn’t aware that the Amish population from PA crossed the border to shop in Buffalo.
Not everywhere.
I watched a black leader of some sort in front of a podium decrying the looting in east Buffalo; not really moral condemnation, but a simple warning that the stores would NOT re-open.
My town in NJ has supermarkets that residents of nearby Newark must use because nobody would even attempt to operate such stores there; soon people from Buffalo will be driving east to the Finger Lakes to buy milk...
When dealing with rioters and looters it is unwise to assume they aten’t intent on injury to you.
