I watched a black leader of some sort in front of a podium decrying the looting in east Buffalo; not really moral condemnation, but a simple warning that the stores would NOT re-open.
My town in NJ has supermarkets that residents of nearby Newark must use because nobody would even attempt to operate such stores there; soon people from Buffalo will be driving east to the Finger Lakes to buy milk...
There’s an area in Pitt. where they constantly complain there’s no grocery - but the businesses that use to be there left because of thieft. When someone does try to open there just repeats itself.
Yep. They’ll be driving to the Finger Lakes for milk - while lefties and pols like Michelle Obama will loudly proclaim the areas a “food desert” and accuse Kroger’s, etc. of blatant racism for refusing to operate stores in the area.
This happened in Los Angeles after the Rodney King Riots. The Riot areas are still food deserts to this day, although as the areas turn brown, Mexican supermarkets are opening.
My older brother managed the Shop Rite for forty years in Kearny and such was the case that long ago.
