Aerosmith star Steven Tyler has been accused in a lawsuit of sexually abusing an underage girl when she was 16 and he was 25 in the 1970s.

Julia Holcomb filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles in the final days of a California law that temporarily lifts the statute of limitations for such claims under a 'look-back' window that ends on Saturday.

The suit, first reported by Rolling Stone, does not name Tyler, identifying him as 'Defendant Doe,' but it quotes directly from Tyler's 2011 memoir describing the relationship.

Holcomb has also previously spoken publicly about her alleged relationship with the rock star.

Holcomb in the lawsuit accuses the music legend of sexual assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, alleging that he plied her with drugs after gaining guardianship from her mother and pressured her into an abortion.

A representative for Tyler did not immediately respond to a request for comment from DailyMail.com on Thursday night.

If you had daughters you might find something objectionable about your teen girls being “groupies” or as better known statutory rape victims for rock bands.

They can’t CONSENT properly any more than they can consent to a credit card or drive a haz mat truck or go to war ok? They aren’t magically old enough because some man thinks they are hot.

Sometimes with parental permission they can marry, which has protections for them, in order to protect them from the worse behaviors of catting around. We as a culture give 18 as the age of majority because we need an age. It is basically a good call.

I did recognize Ricky Medlocke at an airport some years ago. He was with Gary Rossington...both of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Ricky has this long white hair the would put Johnny Winter to shame and is instantly recognizable.

I HAD to approach and simply say hi and ask if I could shake his hand. He was really nice and said, "Sure!"
He said, "I assume you're a fan?"
I told him, "Like you wouldn't believe. You guitar skills are amazing and I've been a fan since your days in Blackfoot."
He said, "Tell me more about how great I am." He let out a very robust laugh and said he had time and we could chat if I liked. Super nice guy.
Gary was very shy and tended to stay behind Rick just watching. He's not so tall but Ricky is well over 6 ft.

I like Aerosmith, too, but I never found him attractive, (not even later or now) and way too old for me being 11 when I discovered them in the mid to late 70s.

Steven Tyler already wrote his confession in his memoirs. The abortion was a second trimester one, (saline solution) and they both saw the infant was still alive.

Age of consent doesn’t mean a full grown adult male can have his way with an underage teenager, because she doesn’t know better or the consequences like the second trimester abortion that happened here. Now, if it’s another teenager, its up to the judge in the Romeo and Juliet clause.
