Guess you mean needs an internet connection?

I connect by hot-spot via cellphone only, Roku streaming channels are mixed free/pay per view/pay subscription.

There is plenty of no strings, free programing via Roku and the Chosen is one of the free programs.

I bought a ROKU years ago, subscribed to nothing. Plugged the thing in and started watching other services on it. I never pay a monthly fee to ROKU.
