I asked my wife if she had ever heard it and she she said she had many times. She was angry that people call it a Christmas song just because it has the word Christmas in it.
I have no desire to google it and be depressed and discouraged by it, only to be able to say I have heard it finally. I'll accept my Wife's opinion and be glad I don't listen to media that pushes this garbage.
I guess it is possible I have heard it and didn't pay any attention to it. I don't think so though since I always listen to the lyrics of every song I hear.

And the insinuation that Our Lord had to deliver her is blasphemous. God created her without the stain of sin. To think He would occupy the womb of a woman corrupted by sin is heresy.
Ah, that's where we differ, the premise that Mary was sinless and not like us mortals. No, only Jesus was sinless.
I doubt we'll settle that disagreement in a FR discussion since it hasn't been settled through the ages as it is. What you say would be anathema and blasphemous to me since you're elevating Mary to divinity.
I'll leave it at that.

To imply that Our Lord would take on the flesh in a dirty vessel tainted by sin that He had not prepared & purified beforehand is not only blasphemous but defies common sense.

As for Barney, I'll grant you the only ones I can think of are Barney Fife and Barney Frank. I imagine it is a nickname for Bernard, Barnett, etc.
