It sounds to me like you may not really like sandwiches if only one place in the whole continental U.S. gets it "right" and everything else is "trash".

I have my favorites, but even a mediocre sub can be pretty darn good.

Joe Mantagna used to own a place in L.A. called “Taste Chicago” that had great great great Italian Beef and Sausage with Sport Peppers and Giaradina that was really good. I love a good meatball and provolone and the best one I ever had was a little shop in Corona del Mar called Gallo’s Deli. A great Roast Beef too with provolone and Giaradino plus the traditional Martinelli AJ will make your day.

No, I don’t care at all for this regional stuff in that article. Just look at the bread in the pictures for example. That bread in most of those pictures is trash
