Pizza is a great meal to bring people together, with many distinct styles and flavors to choose from. From the thin-crust New York style to the wood-fired San Franciscan style, there is, certainly, something for everyone.

The city of Chicago maybe dying, but Chicago pizza will never die.
Received a frozen Lou Malnati's pizza as a mail christmas present, cooked it up by the directions, and my god it was delicious.

I had it about 23 years ago. I’ll pass. New York style pizza is the best in my opinion.

It’s the same as any other pizza except it comes in a Kevlar delivery box.

Lou Malnati's is fine, but give me an Italian style or NY style any time. Put a few pepperoni on the NY slice.

My wife tells me that stuffed pizza isn’t pizza, it’s pizza casserole.

It’s like eating real French bread for the first time — once you’ve eaten real Italian pizza, everything else tastes like, well, something other than real Italian pizza. Chicago style is good, but it should be called ???? Suggestions?

Chicago pizza is my first choice.

I like Chicago-style pizza, but I have never met a pizza I didn’t like.

It’s all about the atmosphere. The salt air at sea level in NY produces
A particular pizza crust consistency impossible to get in the middle of the country
It’s why I can’t get a food tortilla in NY. I have to be in texas for that

Pequods puzzi, the joint on Clyburn, is basically cracked. Totally addictive.

Having been stationed in Sicily, I’ll take Italian anytime.
But I’ve seldom had any bad pizza of any kind, anywhere. One of my very favoritist foods.

H‑E‑B pizza in Texas is the best pizza aside from Brooklyn pizza. I’m from Brooklyn.

I live in Phoenix. I grew up on New Haven pizza, which should have the same salt air, and some NYPD pizza chain claims to fly in NY water to recreate the experience.
Overall, I just don't buy the explanation. Recreate the ingredients, a hot dry oven, and skill, and it should be very, very close. I have had good NY style pizza in-land in Pennsylvania. Some decent pies here in Phoenix, too. Even a good New Haven style pizza in Chicago! (Piece pizza) But it is unfair to compare another city's pizza to the best you have had in NY to another city's.

I agree, NY pizza is better and I hate NYC almost as much as I hate The PIAPS. It is better because the street carts that sell it do ot try to make it gormet.
