Don’t forget CBGB, Studio 54, Andy Warhol, and that guy, what was his name...Donald T Rump or something like that.;-)
I remember the 70s and look back with a different perspective now knowing how thoroughly it was an Operation Mockingbird culture intentionally bringing down the character and capabilities of the American people.
Dancing to “WMCA” the first time around, pre-PDJT rallies. Discos were fun!
The ‘70s in Alaska was a decade-long party. Loved the ‘70s!
The 70s spawned the Vietnam war? /facepalm

Although there may have been those few instances in which things got a little out of hand, the NHL was that better and more fun brand of sport compared to the Bettman trash of today. Many of the players did not wear helmets and were thus more recognizable both in person and on TV and that that was accompanied by that great deal less stickwork and elbowing and cheap shot offences that are so much more commonplace today.
It was also a time when the majority still loved this country. We had just put men on the moon and brought them back. Movies and documentaries showed this event and the American Flags with it, especially the American Flag on the moon.
It was also a time when the Church was still respected.
Today Holy Matrimony between a man and a woman is near total derision.
Today, our Country, the U.S. of A is just about totally reviled in the media during every holiday. In the late last century Congress at least made a pretense of abiding by a reasonable budget.
Today, the spending is out the whazoo, and being made/printed at an astonishing rate. So much so that other countries are working at abandoning the Petrodollar (US dollars as the means to by oil). God help us!
Today, the media is on full assault against the Churches and Christianity.
Future generations will look back at the 70, 80s and 90s just as our generation looked back at the wild west. It was an age when things were a lot simpler.
This age, because it cannot quantify what a woman is, can't hold a candle to the previous ones before 2008.
There’s a lot on this list that I’m not familiar with. I’ll have to look some things up.
Anybody remember click clacks? I never had them, but lots of kids did. Made a lot of noise knocking them together but watch out that they didn’t come loose from the string or you’d see that ball go flying!
If you lived in the 70's & remember the 70's, then you didn't REALLY LIVE in the 70's."
It was the 60’s that spawned the Vietnam war, doofus.

Saturday Night Live (when it was funny)
Got out of the Navy in ‘70. Married in ‘71. College. Work. I remember it well.
“It was a decade that spawned the Sex Pistols and the Vietnam War, platform shoes and Saturday Night Fever.”
Bullshit! The Vietnam war was “spawned” at least 15 years before the Shitty Seventies wver started/
