While checking a baby monitor to ensure that her 11-month-old son, Leo, was sound asleep in his crib, mom of two Whitney Allen noticed an orb of light bouncing off of the baby’s head. Immediately, she believed that the beam was the spirit of her dead husband.
“My husband passed away on April 7, 2022, when our second son, Leo, was 3 months old,” wrote Allen, from Pennsylvania, in the closed captions of her viral TikTok video. “Tonight, I felt like I saw my husband soothing our baby.”
In her paranormal post, which has amassed more than 8.1 million views, Allen shared baby monitor footage of little Leo’s leg swaying back and forth while a palm-size ray of light appears to caress the side of his face.

Sometimes in our grief we want to see things that we would ignore otherwise.
I don't think it says that. On the other hand, I don't think it says we don't turn into orbs.

Agreed. I don’t think the Bible is very clear on exactly what form we take in the afterlife.
My mother came to visit my autistic nephew the night that she died. She told him that she loved him and that she would not be able to see him anymore. He wasn’t afraid or phased by it.
Interestingly, the same night my mother’s spirit allegedly visited my nephew, my sister and I (we live 1,700 miles away from each other) both woke up at the same time (3 AM her time, 2 AM my time). We both experienced a sense of dread, as if something was wrong with the world.
My nephew mentioned it in passing during breakfast in the morning.
Shortly afterwards, she got the call from my father that mom was gone.
Autistic children are extremely bright and very blunt. They have no filter and are quite literal, so telling lies is not a skill they possess.
I believe my nephew.
Moreover, I know my mom. She was a devout believer and followed a loving, godly path her whole life, raising us all in the church. If anyone could ask for a final goodbye and be granted it by our Heavenly Father, it would be her.
On the other hand, the Bible tells me that I have a body a soul(behavior mechanism of mind will and emotions), and a spirit. Paul writes that if there is a physical body there is also a spirit body. From all indications those who have died and come back say they recognized folks and were themselves recognized while in spirit only.
I have concluded that the spirit exists in a spacetime continuum greater in variability than the spacetime of our current physical bodies. I would go on but I sense I have already lost readers at this juncture in my explanation.
As the technical dweeb around here I guess it’s my duty to point out that this “orb” is the camera illuminator (near-band IR LED ring) reflecting off a sheen of sweat on the child’s head.
You can see it changing slightly as the child moves and breathes.
I would easier believe an angel sent by God.
Considering it’s TikTokTrash, for all we know she was in there with a flashlight.
My mom lived with me until she died and she was short and needed a step stool to reach the kitchen cabinets. She was very adamant about no one else using her step stool and failing to return it to where she kept it. If it was out of place when she reached for it I’d hear about it loudly.
The night my mom died in 1998 I came home from the hospital and was up late sending out email notices to family and friends and co-workers. I was in my carpeted den at the time. Her step stool which had been sitting in the corner of the room behind some other stuff, came rolling out end-over-end and stopped in the middle of the room, upright on its legs.
I knew right away that was my ‘ring’. Whenever I was on a road trip, just before retiring I’d call home and let the phone ring once so mom would know I was still OK. So that stepstool trick was mom letting me know she had reached her destination safely.
She did other things but I don’t want to write a book. Suffice to say, I have no doubts whatever about the afterlife.

In the beginning was the word,...
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
A word is merely a metaphor for a pattern of consciousness that has meaning. In the beginning was consciousness, and that consciousness manifested in the flesh.
In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
The shape of the “light” varies. Some are in the shape of orbs, some are flowing liquid light, and sometimes it is like a beam coming from the sun.
Light is an intrinsic characteristic of higher levels of consciousness. It’s the glow around the saints.
Love is also a characteristic of higher consciousness.
God is Love and Light.
I see this light in varying intensities all the time. The Holy Spirit appears as a liquid swirling golden light. When the light shines through from Heaven, it is very bright and intense.
It is this light, which is actually higher consciousness, that flows through me and does the work during exorcisms and spirit releasement work.
Consciousness functions similar to the electrons in the orbitals around the nucleus of an atom. The higher the orbital, the greater the intrinsic energy. This is why the father of atomic physics, Danish physicist Neils Bohr discovered that a “photon” is released when an electron travels from a higher orbital to a lower orbital. This is also why nuclear processes of splitting the atom give off great heat to produce explosions and generate electricity.
I often see this light around people who are praying. I see and feel it around people who are dying as their soul is guided into the brighter light of Heaven.
I see the light flowing into some ministers like a spotlight from above when they are preaching. When this happens to me, I find my ears listening to the words coming out of my mouth. It’s not me speaking, but flowing through me.
It’s very humbling.
The term “orb” merely describes the shape of an individual soul. It varies in size and intensity, but is round or oval shaped, far greater in size than any physical body. It is the spark of God that gave life to create the individual soul. It grows as the soul grows.
Consciousness and the soul are physical to my perception. I see and feel them as they are material. Sins are merely a darkness in this light that creates an obstacle to Love in the soul by blocking the light. These too are physical objects.
The Bible is very accurate, but necessarily metaphoric for people to understand it.
Eph 2:6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
When we die, we need a new body to put our spirit and saved soul into. This resurrected body doesn't get sick or die and can face God without burning up.
2Co 5:8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
And yet at the end of the movie, they did.
The Bible does not not discuss or describe an infinite number of things. It is NOT a technical manual for Creation or the afterlife.
Good verses, yes, and I look forward to that day.
But these verses don’t really answer the question of what form we WILL take.
When Jesus was resurrected He came back in bodily form, at least temporarily.
I can’t wait to find out, though.
I surely don’t discount anything you have posted here. The afterlife is more sophisticated than the physical. Those two domains can, and do, interact. The people “over there” know how it works while we don’t know too much about either domain.
