I’ve known of people who did this same thing with pigeons. Wonder if there are many serial feeders of Iguanas?

Either shoot them or get them neutered. I applaud what these ladies did. I live only a few miles away.
Feral cats have a terrible effect on birds, especially low nesters and songbirds. In some places it is a real slaughter. I put out bluebird boxes and purple martin gourds, but the cats often devastate them, especially bluebirds.
I shoot strays on my property, but I’m out in the country without neighbors, so any cats out here truly wild. Since they could be abandoned, I’ll first call them over; if they come I’ll drop them at the shelter.
I don’t hate cats, I have one, but she stays indoors.

If they’re being neutered, spayed and deflea’d, what’s the issue?
The government doesn’t want competition. They want to form a agency with taxpayer’s money, 12 board members to oversee the bloated, incompetent city workers who couldn’t identify a cat from a titmouse.
These women are doing the community a service so they must be stopped at all means.
I know a young lady here in the capital city that will trap 6 cats at a time for me when I need farm cats here on the homestead . She has them spayed/neutered and vaccinated and wormed . She usually leaves me 6 cats , two blankets , two cat beds , two hundred pounds of cat food and two hundred pounds of kitty litter and a couple of litter boxes . She loves cats and spends probably around a hundred each rescuing/treating those 6 cats and driving them 75 miles out here to live the dream . We lock them in the barn for a few weeks until they get used to the environment and the new threats , Yotes , Foxes , Owls , Hawks but they soon learn to survive and hunt for rodents and birds that will destroy every building you build without protection . Damn tree rats [squirrels/chipmunks are the worst . My most favored cats are the ones that can kill lots of tree rats . They are so quick many lesser cats cannot catch them .
