Update: According to Supt. David Brown, a second teen has died. The other two victims are in serious condition but their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
PILSEN, CHICAGO - Four teenagers have been shot, two of whom were killed, after classes let out of Benito Juarez High School in the Pilsen neighborhood on Friday afternoon, according to emergency officials.
The shooting happened around 2:45 p.m. Friday afternoon on the 1400 block of W. Cermak in the Pilsen neighborhood on the city's Lower West Side.
It's unclear exactly where the shooting occurred as CPD Spokesman Tom Ahern said on Twitter that the shooting happened "in the vicinity," while others on the ground said it happened outside the school after classes let out.
The victims and their injuries are reportedly as follows:
14-year-old male. Pronounced dead on arrival at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head. 15-year-old male. Taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. He later died from his injuries.
15-year-old male. Taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the thigh and shoulder but considered to be non-life-threatening. 15-year-old female. Taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition with a graze wound to the thigh.
They’re taking Ben Carson’s name off of a Detroit high school.
A bazar guess wonder if Holder or other is still running guns until the kill rate gets so high it gives the feds the right to take them.
That many teens don’t find them at Burger King.
Didn’t see anything in the original article about the racial make-up of the victims.
My first thought was grief for teenagers not even getting a chance.
Second thought was about the possibility of cameras.
