It's unclear exactly where the shooting occurred as CPD Spokesman Tom Ahern said on Twitter that the shooting happened "in the vicinity," while others on the ground said it happened outside the school after classes let out.

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Oh, my.
Wonder if there were any cameras pointing outward to film the killer/s?
Pilsen is at the very southmost part of Cook Country. Any Pilsonians out there to report on the urban makeup. Juarez doesn’t sound very Bohemian.
Guess they ran out of actual worthy American citizens to name the school after.
Let me guess. Another obama son was the shooter.
They have been described as “teenagers”.
‘nuff said..
No worthy US presidents in particular...
Democrats are the party of lawlessness.
As of 2022 the school has a 94.6 percent Hispanic and a 2.2 percent black student body.
“4 teens shot, 2 killed after classes let out at Benito Juarez High School”
I’m old enough to remember when schools were named after famous AMERICANS.
According to the Mayor, murders are a part of Chicago’s culture, so no big deal, I guess.
This story did not pop up in the mainstream news headlines. If this shooting had happened in the suburbs, the story would be all over the news. If not for this forum, I wouldn’t have heard about it.
I put Benito Juarez High School into the DDG search engine via a Brave browser and it brought up three articles. CBS, Yahoo and ABC via MSN.
Prayers for the kids and their families.
Wow! I’m more shocked at the name of the school than anything. A school named after a Mexican president from Mexico? Truly, our country has gone global. We’re screwed!
Not one word in this article about the shooter. Strange.
We have at least three high schools named after Winston Churchill.
It’s not on my MSN news feed. But, I just checked MSN’s “top stories,” and the story does appear there.
