After much studying it and opinion gathering, I have decided to quit my primary care and go virtual. I’m sick of being nagged about not taking my vaccinations, my weight, being told I’m responsible for spreading covid variants, etc.
My insurance, through P&G and United Healthcare, are pushing virtual visits for healthy people with zero copay. I can use UHC’s virtual doctors or Teladoc. I can do video chat with a doctor, have lab work ordered at CVS MinuteClinic, and even get urgent care if applicable. I’m 68 and my only prescriptions are for seasonal asthma (inhaler) and my thyroid med for hypothyroidism. I haven’t been sick enough to see any doctor in over 15 years when I had bronchitis. My insurance company says that healthy people should do virtual visits to keep the healthy out of doctor’s offices and from being exposed to sick people. I’m NOT getting vaxed just to be able to see a doctor in person twice a year just for them to do labs and tell me I’m healthy.
Ya gotta watch out for middle-aged white guys in tricorn hats. They invented evil and made a monopoly of it, ya know.
When Roots aired in 1977, our family was still addicted to the tube and we watched the hyped-to-the-hilt thing. Dad was a history teacher, and he was none too happy about the virtual absence of at least two elephants in the living room that apparently STILL must never be mentioned.

The lady at the front desk said something about it was required for them to get paid by Medicare and that Medicare didn’t pay as much, and that I was free to go find another provider that took Medicare.
I have a different Dr that is private pay, and there are no intrusive questions.
I only go to the Medicare Dr if it’s urgent, like a sprain, break, or flu.
Are those two “elephants” the Africans raiding African villages and selling people, and the indentured servitude done by the English to the Scots and Irish (plus other English)?
Maybe a good place to crucify all the pedos.
