Choking?! Who does he think he is? Latrell Sprewell??
You’re only one state off.
Word is may have been his ‘wife to be’ ..... Beard is a known alcoholic..
His lawyer says he is 100% innocent.. and the complainant (wife to be) says he should never have been arrested...
Not sure if TX law allows prosecution even if the complainant does not cooperate.
He is probably suspended pending.. If other stories come out, he is done. If the prosector goes ahead, he is done. If charges dropped, probably some suspension and “training”.
It appears there may be much more to this story than what the article underscores.
Never forget...if you read about it in the media...there is a 50-50 chance (at best) that what you read is true.
One thing everyone should have learned in the last few years, don’t rush to judgment based on any new article until the dust has settled.
Two states over: TX -> NM -> AZ -> NV
Or did you mean UNM should unload Danny Gonzales?
“One thing everyone should have learned in the last few years, don’t rush to judgment based on any new article until the dust has settled.”
Exactly.
The legislature.

(B) the offense is committed by intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly impeding the normal breathing or circulation of the blood of the person by applying pressure to the person’s throat or neck or by blocking the person’s nose or mouth;
Very happy he left Texas Tech. His replacement Mark Adams is fantastic and no problems like Beard. Horns caught a falling knife. Horns always have the most and do the least.
Didn’t mean to touch a nerve here. I just thought you ought to count NV as being the third state over. However, I now know that opinions vary on such matters.
I’m not sure about Danny Gonzales. Would he be zero states over by your reckoning?
Anyway, you were talking about Alford.
The report I heard is that he tried to choke a son-in-law. No confirmation of this.
He was booked at 4:18 Austin time, 5:18 Eastern time.
They are words aren’t they
Didn't forget. Worse. Didn't know. Bummer. I missed it. Guess it doesn't matter now. :-(
I get it. It’s from lawyers turned career professional politicians, where they are compelled to avoid common sense wording as they endeavor to sound official. It’s bull s**t.
