Who's an Expert on Free Republic? (Vanity)
12/11/2022 | By Laz A. Mataz

One thing that is amazing about this forum is that there is such a broad cross-section of people and professions, that you can find an answer on nearly any topic you choose. This thread is intended to collect a list of people and what their expertise is. Sound off and let me know what you think you are an expert in!

I'll start. I'm skilled in computer development, particularly C#.NET, MS SQL, Informatica, Azure ADO (CI/CD pipelines and repos and the like), and Agile practices.... among many other things.

“if you want to know how to impregnate a giraffe, someone on Free Republic will be able to tell you the height of the ladder you’d need”

You’d probably be best at that.

For me, it’s just smoking out America-hating Neocons.

Call center management, CATV systems, and professional sports photographer. Kind of an eclectic blend.

Don't feel bad. A couple months ago I posted a totally non-commercial, anonymous poll of views of FReepers, much reflective of how I perceive the make up, and was accused of setting up a fake poll for the purpose of personal interrogation, and calling in the Admin Moderator due to imagining this anonymous poll (with 28 respondents) would likely be used against Freerepublic by liberals, though liberals themselves could take the poll thru that page, thus invalidating any attempted proof by it. I actually removed Q. 17. Do you support the violent actions of Jan. 6? due to protests and its lack of clarity.

I’m a janitor specialized in cleaning up other peoples messes but not my own.

I’m an Avionics Mechanic for legacy USAF aircraft. I specialize in every block of F-16s. I also am an expert in sortie production. I have extensive experience in Electro-Enviromental troubleshooting and also have experience with military acquistion.

I can also splice cable and replace wire harnesses.

More, but that is what you gain after 26 years in the military

I'll play! ;-D

I have fifty years into developing embedded systems, communications protocols, device drivers, special purpose compilers, and data acquisition/control systems. This includes originating customs circuits using various microprocessors, sensors, and actuators. Although retired, I still have three corporate clients for whom I am actively designing electronics and software. I do everything but Windows and web stuff. I've done Windows; but, it did trigger my gag reflex.

I'm a bare metal guy. Most of my work now uses ARMs, AVRs, and PICs. I have worked with a lot of uPs, a list as long as your arm, and many that people of today have never encountered. Shucks, I cut my teeth on mini-computers: DEC PDP-11, CA LSI-4 & LSI-2 just to name a couple.

Now I program mostly in C because I work very close to the metal. C++ is good for some things. I must lapse into assembler from time to time when writing low latency interrupt handlers.

If I were to write an operating system for today’s world, what language should I use?

C and assembler.

Interesting fact: Giraffe's have the same number of neck vertebrae we humans do, 7.

I've heard it said that, if you want to know how to impregnate a giraffe, someone on Free Republic will be able to tell you the height of the ladder you'd need.

75 inches. Unless it's in Zimbabwe.

FWIW I’m a member of The Court of Master Sommeliers and worked in the high end white tablecloth food/bev industry for decades. I’ve met quite a few famous politicians over the decades that are named here every day but don’t mention them for no one would believe me anyway LOL. (plus I’d out myself)

But hey, I don’t drink wine and like domestic light beer from time to time.

Used to run the wine ping list here on FR years ago - life got in the way and haven’t picked it up again, maybe someday.

Why do you want to impregnate a giraffe?

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Snapping necks, banging 10’s, and flying Blackhawk Helicopters

Perfect! I need you to fly me in a Blackhawk helicoptor, where we will snap some necks, then we will go bang some 10's.

Details to follow.

That Jan. 6 question was toxic.

It was a Deep State infiltration and agent provocateur setup later used as agitprop by the Democrats to slander us.

The Deep State owned any and all violence. Patriotic Americans who showed up were the duped victims.

The J6 prisoners are political prisoners held by those who hate us and want to intimidate and silence us.

Btw—my expertise is the Deep State war against us.
