5. Whatever your opinion on the decision to remove Trump that day, the internal communications at Twitter between January 6th-January 8th have clear historical import. Even Twitter’s employees understood in the moment it was a landmark moment in the annals of speech.

Did Trump think that by filling his administration with Esrablishment RINOs instead of MAGA supporters, he could appease the Establishment and prevent them from ousting him? That was dumb. If he chose to run as a MAGA anti-establishment candidate , he needed to be prepared for war all the way - with a carefully vetted team of loyalists ready to staff his administration. He needed “wartime consigliere” — lots of them. Instead , he arrived in the Whire House and essentially tried to sue for peace with Ryan, McConnell, Lindsey. They assumed control of his administration, and immediately plotted to make sure it would be a one-termer

Lesley Podesta, the niece of John Podesta who is the former White House Chief of Staff for Bill Clinton and a Senior Advisor to Joe Biden, resigned from Twitter’s Trust and Safety Council on Thursday with two others saying it is over concerned about the “wellbeing of Twitter’s users.”
