Glad you’re happy with your dog that nips at the heels (hooves) of the sheep to keep them in line - it’s why they call some of them Blue Heelers. But there’s enough information out there to show that a Jenny Donkey works fine, too.
I am not fighting gaffer - truly. I just have a hard time in my mind trying to substitute a donkey for a shepherd in tending ones flock.
Maybe I will see a donkey herding a flock - I just haven’t. but yeah - they have a hard kick.
