My family had a donkey years ago for protection of our goats. Dad shot him dead after catching him actually attacking them. i guess there’s a bad one every now and then.
We have two guard dogs now. Recently, a man in the area retired and with our permission, he walks our ranches at night, hunting coyotes and pigs. On about 5,000 acres, he has killed almost 50 coyotes in the past 5 months and 90 pigs. Our guard dogs are accustomed to his presence now and don’t bark when he’s there now. He likes to hunt and we buy his shells. it’s a win/win relationship.

I’d rather herd cats than goats. At least cats won’t destroy fences and the neighbor’s trees.
Does he have a night vision scope? I would assume yes.
Nice job he’s doing, it seems to me, based on the numbers.
Sounds like fun too.
Sounds good.
