You asked for my thoughts about the Church’s vile treatment of Fr. Pavone.

I think that the Church has been hijacked successfully for long enough and it’s high time that the regular folks who aren’t aware or who’ve been refusing to see it are brought to their senses.

I hope that this issue with Father Pavone will be their wake-up call.

This brings to mind the life of the great Francis of Assisi.

The Church of his time had become excessively corrupt and the people were disheartened and despairing.

Francis experienced a deep conversion away from worldliness toward a God-centered life after being a captured and imprisoned soldier.

Francis focused on himself and what he should do in order to do God’s will and one day while praying in the small, old chapel of San Damiano which was in disrepair he heard a voice which said,”Francis, go and rebuild my Church which, as you can see, is falling into ruin”.

Francis immediately began working to repair the chapel.

It was that simple. He just listened and responded in the most obvious way to what he heard in prayer.

The remarkable thing is that, because of Francis’ authentic, simple, open, and fearless response to his own simple call, the entire Church which was falling into ruin became renewed and rebuilt from within by the people who were moved by his example to follow their own individual paths.

I believe that we’re in a similar time as that one and that if all of us - of course not only Catholics! - listen to and follow our individual God-given paths that we will, with help from God, defeat the horrifying evil which has been unleashed upon all of us.

Fr. Frank needs our prayers and he already has been given the graces he needs to follow his call. This persecution is nothing new to the thousands of Christians who came before us and who suffered for Christ, Who told us that we would be persecuted if we follow Him.

God chose to place each of us here, now.

We have everything we need.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

That’s a beautiful message! And thank you for the story of Saint Francis. I didn’t know any of that.

I’m going to do just what you suggest, pray for knowledge of what He would have me do each day.
